The Nielson Themes.

Each year around June, Christian and I start preparing 

ourselves to receive a new theme to present to our children at our
 Back to School Feasts in August.

This takes a lot of effort because we want the theme to carry
The Little Nies as they face the upcoming school year.

We've been doing this for twelve years now.

The process is inspiring for both Christian and me,

 and when we finally agree on the theme 

(sometimes it takes us weeks to feel right about it), 

we feel the Spirit testify of its truth,
 and the power it will have on our family.

After we've shared the new theme with the Nies 

it usually takes us a solid month before all of us
can all memorize it.
