I told the Little Nies we would visit our
favorite local places each day until we head out of town.
Today the girls and I took a little break from organizing and packing
their room, and we visited our favorite cookie joint: Chip.
(Warm, gooey, giant chocolate chip cookies).
Then we went back to work nibbling cookies, packing boxes,
crying, laughing, and teasing each other.
Then I fell asleep in Jane's bed while she was talking to me.
Some days, I act like I'm their older sister--that is,

who took my boys for 48 hours,
and my bestie Amy for allowing Lottie to be one of her
children as we work to pack up Fox Hill.
