The second night with Minnie was amazing.
She slept pretty great, and Christian slept pretty great on the couch beside me,
but I didn't sleep a wink. I was too excited, or too exhausted to sleep.
I stayed another night because my blood Iron levels were way low,
which is why I was so exhausted and lethargic during my pregnancy.
Walking up a flight of stairs was a challenge.
The iron transfusion was a game changer!!!
I wish I had done this earlier in my pregnancy!
I felt like a wilted flower who perked up!
Minnie sleeps great, and I find myself just staring at her.
She reminds me of my dad, and probably looks like
me when I was a baby.
I will go home tomorrow, and just in time, because the forecast
shows severe weather for our area.
My nurse informed me that she planned to stay overnight at the hospital
because the weather was forecasted to be difficult for driving.
She wanted to be sure she could make it to her shift tomorrow.
There were rumors circulating that many other medical professionals
were considering doing the same thing.
Jane and Lottie came with food and stayed until around 10:00.
I will go home tomorrow after my last iron treatment and my PICC line
gets removed. I am so excited to go home.
With this pending storm, I want to get food, stock the wood pile near the front door,
and hunker down with baby.
They've already canceled school for tomorrow and probably through
the next week.
Could this get any more cozy?
