This morning, I started Operation Organization,
cleaning out everything before Jane's arrival.
But first, take down Christmas.
It was sad.
I'm never ready to take Christmas down.
But now's the time to embrace the Hygge!
Claire and I took down the tree and burned some of the branches
so we could hear the intense roar and the crackle of the fire.
(And, yes, it kind of does give me a little PTSD).
The smoke from the chimney looked so cozy from the outside
puffing away in the cool January air.
When Gigs and Lod got home from school, Gigs dragged the tree
outside while I continued to put decorations away in boxes and tubs.
Goodbye, Christmas.
