Winter food

Last night Boss and Mary arrived for the weekend.
I made two loaves of French bread and a big batch of roasted vegetables
covered in garlic olive oil and fresh oregano.
And what is fresh bread without several different delicious cheeses
and grape juice?  Delicious combination!
This is one of our favorite winter dishes.  It's warm and comforting-
just what we crave on these dark winter nights on the ranch.
Almost every night, Lottie makes place cards and puts them on our plates.
Tonight she tried to rhyme our names with something,
for example:
"Ollie ballie", "Nicholas bo-bicholas", and "Claire bear",
It's really adorable, and I never want her to grow up.  NEVER.

We have a busy weekend ahead of us, and to be honest,
all I want to do is watch season 2 of Victoria...(like the whole
season in one sitting), then I'd like to ride my mountain bike
on the trails behind the ranch-- but in the afternoon
when the sun is up because this morning when I began hiking,
 it was 5 degrees.
Oh, I also wish I had a pink box of hot Chip cookies, a Swig,
and then a good old-fashioned date with Mr. Nielson.
