It's That Time of Year Again.

Today begins the 2-day April 2022 general conference.
Our family has been looking forward to this day since the last meeting
in October. I made German pancakes for breakfast, and we
lounged around the TV all day, receiving beautiful messages
from our Prophet, President Nelson, and church leaders.
Their words were inspiring and encouraging, and I am so thankful for
direction and guidance I received for myself personally, in my church service,
and especially as a mother.
Some of my favorite parts of the Saturday conference,
including the Saturday night women's conference.
"We have the sacred responsibility to share the power
and peace of Jesus Christ with all who will listen."
"Covenants and ordinances point us to and help us always remember
our connection with the Lord Jesus Christ as we progress along the covenant path."
"Unbelief blocks our ability to see miracles,
whereas a mindset of faith in the Savior unlocks the powers of heaven."
"So please, please, stay for the whole feast, even if you are not sure about the broccoli.
Bask in His light and lend your candle to the cause.
They have it right in Primary: Jesus really does
 "[want you] for a sunbeam.""
"Coming unto Christ means more than just thinking about
Him or talking about Him or even loving Him. It means following Him.
It means living the way He teaches us to live. And for all of us,
that means repenting, without delay."
"We were born at this time for a divine purpose,"
"Even though you may feel alone as the storms of life are raging,
you can shine a light in the darkness of misunderstanding, confusion, and unbelief.
Your light of faith in Christ can be steady and sure,
leading those around you to safety and peace."
"... it's not about doing more. It's about doing what matters.
It's applying the doctrine of Christ
in our lives as we strive to become more like Him."
