Last week Lottie turned 7.
(I still can't believe it).
We got her a bird for her birthday because she had only
been begging for one for the last 356 days.
After she got her (and LOVES her), she was having a hard
time naming her, (we think it's a her anyway).
She posted a paper and taped it to the fridge,
it said:
"WHAT I SHOULD NAME MY BIRD?"
Then with further instructions she added,
"tally mark if you like that name".
Meaning for us to write names we think she should name her new bird,
then we would (using tally marks), vote on the names we liked best.
She also gave us verbal specific instructions
that we could only vote for three names.
(Later I found her with the pen voting for the
names Edna and Banana multiple times-
I think she wanted those names to win).
But when it came down to it,
she decided to name her bird Peep which wasn't even on
list because the bird resembles
the delicious fluffy Easter marshmallows: Peeps!
Speaking of Peeps, have you tried the cotton candy kind.
SoooooOOOOOOOoooooooOOOoOOOO good.
