The NeverEnding Summer

 Happy September!  Finally!!

See ya August!!

You were a very full action-packed month.

But I am definitely done with you. I don't know about you, but I feel like it's been summer since March

when COVID hit and schools closed and life changed.

Because of the quarantine, the Nies are home ALL THE TIME

and it kind of feels like summer is neverending.

By mid-summer, I was pretty sure it should be at least October.

And now I've been craving change, especially in the

form of fall like pumpkins, leaves, smoky smelling candles, etc.

After school today I pulled out the summer flowers in the pots on my

front porch and replaced them with purple autumn vines and mums.

Deep down I know that summer will linger until Halloween, but I need a change.

I also put yellow leaves in a large vase

on my dining room table and lit a fall candle.

I think we all like it, even if we don't want to admit that we're ready for it.
