Setting up the Feast

Today, I am hosting the annual Back to School Feast for about forty
young women from our church congregation.
I did this last year, and it was a fun success.

This year, our dinner will be held in a secret field located in our neighborhood.
The field is filled with wild apples, grapes, apricots, and pears.
As a child, I spent countless hours in this field, playing dress-up and pioneers.
We even made some home movies while running around in the tall grass.
When I was in elementary school,
I used to walk with my siblings, cousins, and friends
from the neighborhood, and we often used this field as a shortcut.

The best part about this location is that most of the girls
who live close by have never been to this secret field.
It is secluded and sandwiched in between several homes.
It's going to be a magical night!

Sorry,  I won't be chatting today.
I am going to be taking Claire to her FRESHMAN orientation!
(AHHHHHH!!)
  Come back next week! Please!
