(I think we need to talk, don't you?)
There are spots on my body- (I guess most of my body),
where I can't feel most sensations.
Heat or cold, or tickles even. The burns took that away from me.
I've learned to live with it now. I have to be very careful when
I run a tub for Lottie- or even myself. I have to be sure to check it first
(which I do with my feet since they were not burned).
Yesterday I was outside helping Mr. Nielson in the yard with a long skirt on.
As I walked around outside, I remembered what it felt like to
have a skirt on right after I just had shaved my legs.
That's a good feeling. I am sure that most of you know what I am talking about.
Especially if you are wearing a silky skirt or something super soft, it
really feels amazing, right? Well, I miss that feeling.
I mean, don't get me wrong I am not complaining about not ever having to
shave again, but I do miss simple pleasures of a normal body.
The Little Nies love to ask me to close my eyes while they tickle
The Little Nies love to ask me to close my eyes while they tickle
a certain part on my arms or legs or even my face.
They ask me to tell them when I can feel it--which usually is never.
They think it is really cool and laugh really hard.
I don't think it's that cool.
I'll tell you what is really cool...a large portion of my belly skin
was burned, so do I have a belly button or not?.....
I can certainly feel Lottie the unicorn putting lipstick
on my lips though, and I think that's super cool.
