Weekend plans and doing homework

 {Lottie on my lap doing homework}
I am pretty excited about the weekend.
I have some weeding to do around my house and soccer games to go to.
I am going to decorate for fall too.
Mr. Nielson took me in the truck to our storage unit where we retrieved the
Halloween/fall decoration boxes.
My girls are so excited to get the Halloween books out.
I have to admit, so am I.

This morning, Mr. Nielson and I dropped baby Charlotte off with my niece Linds
so we could head up the street to the temple.
What a perfect way to start the morning.

The children came home from school today and we sat down at
our dinning room table and started homework.
I was giving Jane AND Oliver their spelling words at the same time
while Claire was asking me math questions and Nicholas
was showing me how he can write his name.
Oh, and I was holding Lottie- who had a fist-full of my hair and
with the other fist ate Oliver's spelling word sheet.

It was so chaotic it was funny.
Kind of.
But I wouldn't want it any other-way.
Oddly enough, this is one of my favorite
parts of the day.  My chickens are all home with me and we are
talking, laughing, eating, and exchanging stories...
(and sometimes hitting, screaming, talking over each other, and whatever else}.

This afternoon we are participating in the 'Chalk Block' at Riverwoods.
We have been brainstorming ideas all week of
what out family will draw in our square of space.
We finally came up with something awesome and are so excited to try and create it.
You should come.
