Today, my beautiful Charlotte Christiansdatter turns 14!
Of course, she didn't go to school and instead
in the morning, I took her to get her lashes curled. It has a
fancy Japanese name, but I'm drawing a blank right now.
But not before she bathed Lottie for me in the sink
and opened the gift Umi sent in the mail.
After, we met Jane at a sushi bar because sushi is Lottie's favorite food.
The menu was as long as The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and to be honest,
I'm not a sushi fan. But anything for Lod.
Afterward, Jane took Lottie to the mall to shop for clothes.
Bless Jane.
Bless sisters!
I don't think I could have done that with Minnie right now.
I still often feel overwhelmed with outings.
Lottie and I have a fun tradition each year where I make her
a birthday cake in the shape or design of whatever she wants.
In the past, I've made a Peep cake, a Jellyroll cake,
a cake in the shape of a shrimp, and this year was no different.
She wanted a pink cheesecake with a caterpillar
made of fruit on top.
Done.
It was kinda ugly, but exactly what she wanted.
I LOVE HER SO MUCH!
