Happy Easter!
Today is a glorious, triumphant day!
Today we celebrate the Savior's miraculous Resurrection!
Today we celebrate life and miracles; today we celebrate
the Lord!
We had a beautiful Sabbath day!
Most of the program at church was singing songs about
His victory over death!
I got Minnie ready in her little bunny dress and snapped a few photos
before we headed out to church at 9:00.
Afterward, we came home and took family photos.
Minnie's first Easter with her beautiful sisters!
Later, we had a lovely dinner where I served:
Braided Bread with hard-boiled eggs placed inside the braid (Thanks, Jane!)
Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes
Raspberry Jell-O with cream and berries
Strawberry Arugula & Farro Salad
Asparagus with Lemon
Creamy Lemon Pie
During dinner, I started a new tradition; we did an Easter reading.
Each of us read parts about the Easter story from Palm Sunday,
The Last Supper, The Garden of Gethsemane, The Cross, and
The Tomb. I had beautiful art to share depicting each event.
We sang songs, and I cried. It was such a beautiful experience.
I am so excited to carry this on to all our future Easter Sundays!
When March rolled around, I felt a strong pull to make
Easter more meaningful and different from previous years.
For Christmas, we go all out, but we rarely share the same reverence.
I told Christian I wanted to change that.
This year, we picked an Easter activity to do each week
leading up to Easter Sunday.
It's been the most meaningful Easter to date.

“We should celebrate the Resurrection of our living Savior
by studying His teachings and helping to establish
Easter traditions in our society as a whole,
especially within our own families. We challenge you to do so.”
