I Don't Want To Miss A Thing

This morning, The Nies gathered around Minnie's changing table
while I changed her morning pants and put a new gown on her.
They adored her cute little newborn body and
every movement she would make,
a smile, a frown, a yawn, everything was just so cute and so new,
The Nies could hardly stand it.
I could hardly stand watching them love her so much!

They all took turns holding and cuddling her.
They keep telling me to go lie down and get some rest,
but I don't want to miss a thing.
I want to see each of them bond with Minnie.  I want to see
each of them snuggle and admire her.
Later, we all went into the car and got a car wash so I could
get out for the first time since giving birth.
Ollie took Minnie out of her seat during the
wash in case the loud noises bothered her.
He held her close and covered her ears.
Seeing the Nies be so tender with Minnie has been just about the
cutetst thing I have ever seen.

We went home, and Christian made dinner while we listened to Ollie
share with us all about his ice-climbing adventures in Idaho.
I think this is a new passion for him.
