This evening, we visited new baby Claire, Caulin & Emily's newest addition!
She is perfection, and we are so honored that her name was inspired by our own Claire.
It is a beautiful name, and it fits her so well.
Did I mention she is perfect?
Perfect ears, nose, lips, and head. We all oohed and aahed over her.
My Nies were all really nervous to hold her.
They're not used to babies, which makes me sad.
She is very tiny!
Gigs was the most impressed as he cuddled Claire to his chest.
Of course, my boys bought fireworks for the little brothers.
As we left their house, I couldn't help but reflect way back to
my baby raising days.
It sounds so lovely to just be home all day with a baby and little kids.
I'm sure back then, I'd have wished for my role now, with independence,
and a fun job, but man, I think back to those once
slow, lazy summer days filled with diapers, toys, naps,
and books, and wish for it back.
I loved that so much.
Good work, Emily. She's beautiful,
I'm really looking forward to hogging her at church.
