Mr. Nielson and I traveled to Boston where I was honored to address over
3,000 women in the New England area.
This was the first free conference for
ALL women of faith, hosted by
The theme for the conference was
Let Your Light Shine which comes from Matthew 5:16;
Let Your Light Shine which comes from Matthew 5:16;
“Let your light so shine before men that they will see your good works
and glorify your father which is in heaven.”
I told my story and how I found light in my dark and depressing world.
I still get very emotional when I speak, and it is hard to not cry.
But I want others to know if they suffer or live in pain, there is always hope
and life can still be beautiful and happy.
I was informed that Elder Jeffery R. Holland of the
Quorum of the Twelve Apostles was going to address the crowd after me.
He is my favorite person on this earth.
I was both humbled and honored to speak in the same microphone
as this good and wise man.
After he spoke he gave me a very warm hug and pressed his hands to my cheeks
and told me I looked beautiful.
So I put my hands on his cheeks and told him how much I loved him!
I don't have any photos, but I did steal this sweet photo off instagram.
After I spoke, Mr. Nielson and I had the 3 hour tour of Boson (thanks to Chris).
And what would a Boston trip be without a Mikes Pastries cannoli.
I died.
Before we headed back to Phoenix, we stopped at the Boston Mormon temple.
If you live in that area, and are not part of the Mormon faith,
I think it's worth taking your family to go and see. It's beautiful!
And I want to publicly tell Liz how much I love her.
She got us Dunkin' Donuts, DUNKIN' DONUTS at midnight for Mr. Nielson
and I to partake in our hotel room. Yesssssssss.
