A House to Honor God

Last Night Mr. Nielson and I took Claire and Jane to the open
house for the new Mormon temple in Payson, Utah.

It was breathtaking.
Right now, the doors to the temple are open to the public.
During this time, anyone can go in and see the interior of the temple,
and the sacred ceremony rooms before the temple is dedicated.
After it's been dedicated, only members of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
with a valid temple recommend will be permitted in.
The design of the temple, the decor, the colors, the outside grounds--
everything about our place of worship is gorgeous and
honors God so beautifully.
I was so happy to be there with my girls and my sweet husband.
My other favorite part of the night was when we met Sister Carole M. Stephens,
who is the First Counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency.
She is one of my heroines, and I was SO excited for my girls to meet her.
"We each belong to and are needed in the family of God.
Earthly families all look different.
And while we do the best we can to create strong traditional families,
membership in the family of God is not contingent
upon any kind of status—marital status, parental status,
financial status, social status, or even the kind of status we post on social media. "
 Have a wonderful weekend!!!
