The Father of our home

Me: Honey, did you have a good Father's Day?
Mr. Nielson: Ya, I sure did.  I felt lots of love.  Jane's note was really sweet.
She really took her time and wrote things that were very sweet.
Me: Oh, really, I didn't read it, what did it say?
Mr. Nielson: I even cried while I was reading it.  It really touched me.
Me: I know she really wanted to do something nice for you, and she didn't think a letter would be good enough, I am glad to know it was.  What was your favorite part of the day?
Mr. Nielson: Making dinner tonight, sitting down and eating it with my family.
I also liked the breakfast in the morning, and reading the cute cards from everyone.  I also liked using this special day as an excuse for the kids to stop fighting.
Me: What is your favorite part of being a father?
Mr. Nielson: Having children who love me.

Jane got home from church and the first thing she did was make
 Mr. Nielson a green smoothie.
 Dinner with a few favorites.
Happy Fathers Day to my namesake.  I LOVE you so much.
I know you will really enjoy Glenn's book too.
Mr. Nielson enjoying his Father's Day dinner.

 Then baby Hal turned ONE
Then the Little Nies all sketched Mr. Nielson before bed.
The Little Nies sang this song to Mr. Nielson and all the fathers of our
church congregation today:
The father of our home leads our family
With wisdom’s light in all that’s right;
My father’s good to me.

Fathers are so special with a very special love.
They watch us and protect us.
They guide us and direct us
Back to our home above.
