Big little familes.

Today I ran into a dear friend at the store.
It was nice to see her and catch up a little.
She couldn't stay and chat long because she had
to pick up her triplets from preschool.
My friend has six children, including triplets and twins.
{Lottie was getting really restless in the cart and
we had to keep moving anyway}.
Before we said our goodbyes, she said to me.
"Isn't it fun to have these big little families?"
I agreed then pondered that comment the rest of the day.
It IS really fun to have these "big little" families.
They bring so much joy.
It's busy hard work but everything I do, I do with my children in mind.
Mr. Nielson and I go on weekly dates to get away from these five children,
and what do we do while we are alone on our date?
Discuss those five children.
I think the more Mr. Nielson and I love each other the more
the children love each other.
I think the more our marriage displays patience, kindness, love,
forgiveness and respect
the children pick up on that, and do the same to each other and
those they have relationships with.
A big little family is hard work. I've said it before, and I will
say it again.  This is the best hard work I will ever do.

Happy October....my favorite month, ya know!!
