Birthday Spread

Next week we will celebrate our sweetheart Nicholas turning six.
He is dying for his birthday party.
Claire, who is turning eleven on the 29th,
is having her birthday party the following week.
I tell you, the month of October is truly full of parties and good times.
It is my favorite.
I had these adorable photos taken of Nicholas to make birthday invitations.
On his real birthday, (October 6th) as you might recall, he woke up feeling
sick.  Luckily before the throw-ups happened,  he was able to enjoy his
"Birthday spread" -as we call it, that morning.
As with tradition in our family, the birthday banners go up,
presents wrapped and put on the kitchen table, and we try
and make the birthday boy/girl wear
the birthday crown all day-or at least for breakfast.
FYI: Nicholas did neither.
This year,  Nicholas wanted for his birthday
anything and everything that had to do with gorillas.
I found these awesome gorilla hands that frightened and excited him equally.
In fact, as I type this, I don't even know where those gorilla hands are.
He probably hid them.
Godmother and Wizard Bagley never forget a Nielson birthday,
and sent Nicholas this awesome robot vintage pinball game.

Here are some other toys Nicholas picked out at our favorite toy store- Blickenstaffs

*He loves this Djubi game.  Still trying to figure it out, but it requires his
best coordination skills.  We've only had a few tears over this game.
*He was most excited about his Ezy roller.
I even tried it and laughed the whole time.

I cry every time.  It is so beautiful.
