I have been thinking a lot about making choices.
One of God's greatest gifts to us is the power to choose.
I firmly believe that we can "learn with joy and not with sorrow"
(Nielson family theme 2010).
I want my children to understand that the choices we
make now will effect who we are and the path we hope to follow.
I know there is a a right way to live and be happy- it is choosing the right everyday.
I look at my beautiful children who will see and experience
disappointment, frustration, sadness, and pain in their lives.
It will break my heart, but I also have faith that God is in charge
and He will guide them through if they allow Him too.
Trials are not all bad.

If you are lost and lonely and feel sad or hopeless
I hope you know there is always time to change.
Sometimes making good choices is hard. Sometimes that good choice
is unpopular or seems so old fashioned but I know that making good
choices today, right now will make you happy forever.

If you are feeling inadequate or like you have made
too many bad choices that you can't change your ways, please know
that through God this change is possible.

This is what I am learning and teaching my children.
