Sleeping with curlers in

{Jane's baptism day. Photos by Justin Hackworth. More about this day to come}

Its Friday.
A busy Friday, but a Friday nonetheless.

So yesterday I woke up sick. True. I did, I was horribly sick.
I lay in bed pretty much all day. I tried getting up to be mother,
 I even put curlers in my hair.
I then went to "lay down" for a few minutes {with curlers in, mind you}
 and of course I fell asleep. I woke up a few hours later with hot curlers
{now cold} in my hair with
dents on my forehead in perfect curler shape.
I frantically pulled out the curlers as a guest came over to interview me-
{more on that later}.
I got dressed, making her wait. That is so rude.
And, I do it all the time.

Tomorrow will be more interviewing and cameras. I don't think I will care what I look like.
On the Oprah show taping at my house I didn't {obviously, I looked so bad.}
I want to look good, but no matter how hard I try, I still look like me and
I still looked burned, so why try and hide that or make myself look glamorous
so people will look past that- it will never happen.
And I am glad.
I am who and how I am. That's all there is to it.
Mr. Nielson sure loves me just the way I am, and honestly that is all I care about.

{Not to say that I am dying for Dr. L. to fix my lips
 so I can wear M.A.C. red ruby lipstick.}
