Re-Posted: The Night It Was Really Hot And I Was Sweating

WHY I LOVE THIS POST:
Ever since I was a little girl, I've daydreamed about having babies. But as I grew up, I heard about all the negative sides of raising kids -- "It's expensive"..."It's exhausting"...and, somehow most of all..."It's boring."

So I got worried about this and wondered if all my sweet daydreams about having babies were silly and naive. But then I found Stephanie's blog and she showed me that yes, kids are a lot of work, and yes, running around after your kids can be tedious, but yes, it is totally wonderful and worth it. She truly reinvigorated my excitement to have babies, and I look at Stephanie as a complete inspiration and role model for motherhood. (And now Courtney, too!) I would love love love to hang out with her and her children one day.

(I also adored writing this home tour for Cookie about Stephanie and getting a chance to talk to her on the phone! http://www.cookiemag.com/magazine/blogs/nesting/2007/09/knock-knock-bri.html)

Thank you so much. xoxo Joanna

We were bored.
We decided to pull out the picnic blanket and look at the stars.
Soon after, I began to sweat.
It got really hot.

Jane and I took a few snapshots.

(On a personal note, yesterday I had my teeth fitted for whiting molds.
Hip hip hooray! Look at those yellowish/gray beauties)

Then Mr. Nicholas started to cry because he was hungry,
and then I was like "yikes" and then he cried more.

By this time, I was really hot and sweating!

And Oliver was naked. It was awesome.
Recap-
Hot.
Sweating.
naked.
hungry.
yellow teeth.
crying.
bored.
got it?
